History
The John West brand name was established in 1885 in Liverpool, England by T.L. Pelling & C.H. Stanley Provisions, Fruit and Canned Goods Merchants.
By the turn of the twentieth century, they were importing around 250,000 cases of salmon a year under the John West name.
As the brand flourished, new products were added under this now famous banner.
In 1964, the John West Food Company was registered and in 1969 began operations in Australia, sourcing the very best seafood, fruit and vegetables from around the world.
Now wholly owned by Simplot Australia, the John West brand is staying true to its heritage as one of the great food companies.
